Another Friday night in. Big thumbs up! I was tired and had a cake to finish!
First, off to Whole Foods for eats. Usually, we seek out Whole Foods in other areas. Why? Because the WF by our apartments is lame.
The expression says it all. Poor selection. Poor service. Wilted lettuce. Veggies looked like they sat out all day. Thumbs down.
I’ll never go back to this one again. I mean it this time.
Let me stress- “this one”. I still heart WF.

A bad WF meal? Is that possible?
Dude- it SO is. I couldn’t go into extreme detail because of the 100 words limit, but MAN, it was bad. The chick peas had been sitting under the lights of the salad bar so long, they were getting wrinkled, hard, and stuck to the bottom of the container they were in. And that’s just one example…
Those cake bites look REALLY good. I can’t wait to make some for M’s bday party!

that’s sad the whole foods by your house is a disappointment. I LOVE the one in Naperville on 75th Street & 59. It is probably the best one I’ve ever been to.
I’m a huge fan of the one in Schaumburg. It’s been my favorite so far…
What I can see of the cake bites looks fantastic! I can’t wait to see the cake! Really, I can’t. As soon as I see your post tomorrow I’m going to be here asap so that I can just marvel over how talented you are. My decorating skills look something like this: me + knife + icing = messily slathered cake.

A bad WF?! I’ve only come across one…in KS Missouri. It was tiny, smelly, and had poor service. I didn’t even give the bar a try!

At least you have a Whole Foods. I went to the local natural store to get a salad like those awesome looking ones from WF, and came home with wilted spinach, cabbage, carrots, beets and artichoke hearts. All of which I had at home.

the nearest WF to me, is about 40 mins. away, so i dont get to frequent it often….it is a really nice one, but so damn far to drive…..

Wow…a bad time at Whole Foods…let’s hope that never happens again! I live near the flagship one in Austin, and they tend to be on par almost every time I visit!
