Let’s just continue on the topic of roommates, shall we?
When it comes to food, we overlap here and there (we freakin’ love calzones), but for the most part, we do our own thing.
That doesn’t mean we don’t share. Because we do. Condiments, cheese, and milk are up for grabs at all times.
And when one of us is leaving town for the weekend? The other benefits from whatever is still around in the refrigerator. A small win for being boring and staying home. But take what you can get, right?
Try something new and don’t like it? Pass it off on the other roommate!
Made too much and the idea of eating any more will make you vom? Pass it off on the other roommate!
It’s a nice system.
So anyway, this week I have to give my roommate, Bailey, mad props for feeding me.
Last weekend, when she was grocery shopping, I wasn’t around to inform her that the brand MorningStar was faux meat.
She wasn’t a fan. So I tried it.
The texture was a little off from the real thing, but hey- not bad. Especially considering tofu and I aren’t always friends (I enjoy eating it, but sometimes end up curled up on the couch from stomach pains).
Then, later in the week, her friend brought over turkey chili for her.
I guess her friend didn’t realize Bailey doesn’t eat beans.
It’s a texture thing.
But who in this house does?
Her friend also brought over the accompanying shredded cheese and crackers. I just threw something green in there myself for good measure.
Awesome.
Now if only my roommate didn’t like ice cream…

One of these days, I want to meet Bailey. I’m curious who is the cooler roommate. =P
I miss those days. I used to cook for my roommate and she would buy me booze. It was a wonderful time. Looks like it’s working out fabulously for you as well. I usually enjoy morningstar farms products. Especially the buffalo chik’n wings. Fake chicken is the other white meat.
I am not a Morningstar fan…not sure what it is about the faux meat thing that I can’t do?
In any case I would love to have a roommate like yours!
